Aims of the Club

The Hertige Draught Horse Club Inc aims are as follows:-

The aim of Heritage Draught Horse Club Inc. is to promote all aspects of the uses of Draught horse in bygone days, and to encourage their use in today’s activities be it on the land, bush or for tourism.

Where possible, we will attend Heritage festivals, shows etc. to put on displays of horses working in an array of vintage implements and vehicles.

Members will be provided with the knowledge and instruction on the safe handling of horses when putting into harness, safe driving of them, the training required for the driver and the horse, as well as hitching horses to implements in a safe manner and their uses.
